The 2022 Ford Maverick is a do-it-all compact truck that everybody seems to be excited about. That includes the aftermarket space, with multiple companies adding new upgrades for the Maverick to their catalog as we write this. Case in point? The latest Ford Maverick exhaust kit from MRT Street Performance.

A bone stock Ford Maverick doesn’t sound all that special coming down the road. But, attach an MRT axle-back exhaust system, and you’ve got a truck with a bit more personality, whizzing by you on the interstate and growling at stoplights.

According to the website, any self-proclaimed do-it-yourselfer can handle installation of the exhaust system in about an hour with nothing more than simple hand tools. At the time of this writing you can purchase the MRT Street Truck Exhaust for the 2022 Ford Maverick for $659.99. The Exhaust is an axle back system that features a straight through muffler design. It also features corrosion resistant T304 stainless steel as well as a large 2.5 inch diameter tube for reduced exhaust flow restrictions, per the MRT technical specifications. The 3.5 inch angle cut exhaust tips come in two options, polished stainless steel or Matte black for an additional fifty bucks.

The fitment is meant for a 2022 Ford Maverick with the optional 2.0L Ecoboost engine, the same one featured in the Bronco Sport Badlands. The option provides 250 horsepower and 277 Lb-Ft of torque against it’s 191 horsepower and 155 Lb-Ft of torque hybrid engine brother that comes standard on the Maverick in all trims, XL, XLT, and Lariat. The Maverick itself cost you just under $20,000 for the base model XL ($19,995) where the Lariat is just a little bit more with a price tag of $25,490. The XLT sits in the middle with a price tag of $22,280.
