Additive manufacturers understand the cost, quality, speed, and flexibility benefits of 3D-printing parts. These advantages have become more pronounced with the development of FFF (fused filament fabrication) materials embedded with carbon fiber, glass, or metal.

According to ChampionX Corp., these filaments require more abrasion-resistant nozzles. The company cites the following benefits of its U.S.-made, wear-resistant, solid-PCD-tipped filament nozzles:

• Accommodate all filament materials, eliminating the need to change nozzles to accommodate different workpiece materials

• Improve layer adhesion and quality
