The FlashforgeUSA Creator 4 3D printer can be fitted with an extruder intended for flexible, engineering-grade, or carbon-fiber-composite filaments.
The desktop printer’s twin extruders work independently or simultaneously. The thermally controlled, 400- by 350- by 500-mm build chamber maintains a constant temperature of 65 degrees C, which effectively reduces model shrinkage, warping at corners, and breakage, reports the manufacturer.
The company adds that linear-rail leadscrew stepping along the X and Y axes improves motion stability and the new S-type motion-control system ensures smooth starting and stopping, precise nozzle positioning, and sharp print details.
The Additive Report focuses on the use of additive manufacturing technology in the real world of manufacturing. Today’s manufacturers are using 3D printing technology to create tools and fixtures, and some are even using AM for high-volume production work. Their stories will be covered here.
