In Forza Horizon 5, players clearing the missions and exploring in the Hot Wheels DLC will need to select the right car for the various challenges.
In Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels, players will find several new cars, biomes, and challenges in the Hot Wheels DLC. With 534 cars in the base game alone, players may have difficulty selecting the right car for each mission. Additionally, some missions will require players to use cars that fit into specific classes, which separate cars by their stats. Some of the ten new cars added to the Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels DLC can also be excellent fits for completing the new missions.
For challenges that involve off-roading, like traversing the icy region of the newly-added Ice Caldron region, players may want to opt for the 2013 Hot Wheels Baja Bone Shaker. The large wheels will make rugged terrain easier to navigate, and players can unlock this new vehicle by completing the Hot Wheels Expedition and subsequently traveling to the Horizon Hot Wheels Park. Another good option for off-roading is the 2020 SIERRA Cars #23 Yokohama ALPHA. This vehicle is ultra-light at only 1,100lbs with a carbon fiber body. Because of its light frame, this off-roading vehicle in Forza Horizon 5 can reach speeds of 140mph. To unlock the 2020 SIERRA Cars #23 Yokohama ALPHA, players have the daunting task of winning the Hot Wheels Goliath event and becoming the Hot Wheels Legend.

One of the new Hot Wheels DLC cars is among the fastest on the roster, the 1993 Schuppan 962CR. With a top speed of 230mph and powered by a water-cooled 3.3 liter Type-935 Flat 6 with twin turbochargers, this can be a go-to car for almost any high-speed race. This car is a solid choice for players looking to complete the Horizon Nexus Speed Traps in 1:30 or less in an S1-class car, which is also required to unlock the 2018 Chevrolet Hot Wheels COPO Camaro. To unlock the high-speed Schuppan, players will need to complete the Expert Qualifier Now This Isn't Pod Racing. Another car in Forza Horizon 5 designed for speed is the 2018 SUBARU WRX STI ARX Supercar, which goes from 0-60 in two seconds. To earn this car, players will need to start at the Hot Wheels Outpost in an S1 class car and complete the Treetops Speed Trap in 1:30 or less.
If players are looking to meet the time limit of three minutes and fifteen seconds as easily as possible on Hammer Mountain, they should use the fastest B-class cars available. This includes the Honda Type R 2016 or Exomotive Exocet Off-road 2018. Players should be able to purchase the Honda Type R 2016 from the auto show. At a speed of 6.5 and one of the fastest cars in Forza Horizon 5 B-class, players should have no trouble reaching the dragon in time from behind the wheel of their Honda Type R 2016. Meanwhile, the Exomotive Exocet Off-road 2018 is equipped for all terrains with its oversize tires and steel tube chassis with a speed of 4.5.
One of the more difficult challenges to complete within the Hot Wheels Academy is the Hot Wheels Park Tour mission. To successfully clear this challenge, players will need to drive an A-class vehicle through three distinct regions in less than four minutes. The three regions players will need to drive through are Forest Falls, Giant’s Canyon, and the Ice Cauldron. One of the best A-class cars for this challenge in Forza Horizon 5 is The Nissan Skyline GT-R V-SPEC 1997, which is available for 37,000CR from the auto show. Alternatively, players may also opt for the 2008 Mitsubishi Lanser Evolution X GSR.
