This is Richard Jay Franklin II, aka Rich "ACE" Franklin’s 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Custom Coupe. The man is a former two-time reigning UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) Middleweight Champion.

The Ace name, of course, comes due to the man’s uncanny resemblance to Jim Carry’s character from Ace Venture. A former teacher from Cincinnati, Franklin was a gear head. According to an interview he gave to the Globeandmail he’s also previously owned cars and bikes including an 07’ Toyota Tundra Truck a 2003 Harley-Davison Road Glide and a 1974 Ford Bronco.

Dana White, the UFC president, gave this car to Rich Franklin as a thank you for his work as a coach on ’The Ultimate Fighter’ television show. This custom Camaro’s party piece by far is what’s lurking under the hood.

Powered by an EFI GM performance big block 502ci crate engine, which has been bored and stroked to 565ci, which surely should make this custom 1967 Camaro quite a handful out from behind the wheel. It’s been dynoed at 675 ponies and puts the power to the wheels via a TREMEC Magnum six-speed T56 Pro-Fit transmission.

Now, with a custom car, the sky really is the limit. While you’re mostly used to seeing Camaro’s in far more vivid colors, this example finished in dark grey, contrasted with a striking green sure does look the business. Wheels with Budnik Billet spokes are used here and there’s just the right amount of chrome to liven things up.

The same two-tone them continue into the cabin as well. The green accents work well against the all-black interior. The highlights of the cabin include Autometer Carbon Series instruments, a Budnik billet steering wheel, a bespoke carbon fiber wrap on the dash and trim pieces, an Alpine head unit, JL audio components, and Orion amps, to finish off the interior. You can’t miss the white shifter sticking out of the dash.

Let’s talk about all the mods done to this Custom Chevy by Matt Hunt Muscle cars, that have now been turned up to 11. It’s not just the Big Block that got the special treatment.

Rich "ACE" Franklin’s 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Custom Coupe is going for no reserve at next month’s (April 7-9) Barrett Jack’s Palm Beach auction in Florida. Also included with the car are an autographed photo and gloves of the fighter.
